PolyFR® Concentrates

PolyFR® non-halogen Flame Retardant Concentrates are highly loaded FR pellets designed for high performance results and are made to easily disperse and incorporate directly into compounding and injection molding processes. They are designed to provide "product ready" FR resin solutions for polyolefin and polyethylene applications which have been required to meet various flame retardancy specifications. PolyFR® 200 is a highly loaded non-halogen flame retardant masterbatch concentrate designed for ease of use in polypropylene resin compounding and molding processes where FR levels can be metered in to meet various flame testing standards for the product. The concentrate incorporates our high performance JJAZZ® intumescent flame retardant systems. PolyFR® 200 uses a prime 20 melt polypropylene as its binder resin to provide a good balance of properties when blended with a variety of other polypropylene resins in final compounding and molding applications. It is recommended at loading levels from 35-50% depending on the resin systems, material thickness, equipment, formulation additives and final flame retardancy requirements. It is recyclable.

PolyFR® 201 is a highly loaded non-halogen flame retardant concentrate designed for ease of use in polyethylene resin compounding and molding processes where FR levels can be metered in to meet various flame retardant stadards for the product. The flame retardant masterbatch concentrate incorporates our high performance JJAZZ® intumescent flame retardant system. PolyFR® 201 utilizes a prime 20 melt LLDPE as its binder resin for ease of processing and incorporating into a variety of polyethylene resins in final compounding and molding applciations. It is recommended at loading levels from 35-50% depending on the resin system, material thickness, equipment, formulation additives and final flame retardancy requirements. It is recyclable.

Unlike today’s conventional fire safe materials that use toxic brominated flame retardants PolyFR® concentrates:

  • Contain no halogens such as Flourine, Chlorine, Bromine, or Iodine
  • Contain no heavy metals, or Magnesium
  • Have a fast acting intumescent foam char barrier that is deployed upon heat contact
  • Produces no toxic or corrosive gases in the event of a fire.  Our smoke contains some of the lowest levels of CO2 & CO, making it safer for firefighters and first responders due to non-toxic low smoke and thermal shielding.
  • Minimizes collateral damage in the event of a fire.
